In just 4 hours, you’ll:

  • Get comfortable with today’s most popular AI tools (ChatGPT, custom GPT builders, workflow automation tools.).
  • Learn professional-grade prompt engineering techniques that avoid common pitfalls and maximise accuracy.
  • Build and test an AI assistant grounded in your own sample data.
  • Explore real-world, work-based scenarios, so you leave with immediately applicable skills, not just theory.
  • Learn how to use Generative AI responsibly.

By the end of the day, you will walk away with your very own mini-AI assistant, plus hands-on experience in designing prompts, protecting data privacy, and integrating AI into routine tasks.

Duration

4 hours with 2 short breaks

Each attendee must bring a laptop with an up-to-date browser and able to access the internet through Wi-Fi. You will need to be able to log-in and use one of the Generative AI platforms whether Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Anthropic's Claude or similar.

  • Introduction to AI - Welcome, overview of learninig objectives and course logistics.
  • What is Generative AI - Develop an understanding of key concepts including LLMs, prompt engineering, LLM grounding, AI agents, task and workflow automations.
  • Practical applications of AI - Real-world demonstrations of applications of AI in functional roles such as marketing, operations, HR and finance.
  • Responsible AI - Become familiar with the limitations of AI, what is Responsible AI and how to apply responsible AI principles at work.
  • AI tools and technologies - Overview of AI tools and technology landscape.
  • Generative AI tool features and capabilities - We will cover key features including various security and privacy settings, the purpose of chat history, model selection, and other common AI chatbot settings.
  • Prompt Engineering - Master core principles and techniques on how to interact with Generative AI tools effectively.
  • Prompt Engineering Practice - A hands-on session designed to test your prompt engineering skills on pre-selected exercises. Instructors will provide feedback on the live prompt results.
  • AI Assistants - Overview of AI assistants and examples of ideal uses of AI assistants
  • AI Assistants in Practice - Step-by-step walkthrough of how to build your own no-code AI assistants including grounding it in your own data, testing it and sharing it with your team.
  • Data Analysis with Generative AI - Overview of how Generative AI can be used to carry out various data analysis tasks.
  • Data Analysis with Generative AI in Practice - A hands-on session designed to test your skills in querying data, and generating different insights using our sample dataset and pre-selected scenario.
  • Q&A - Opportunity to ask questions related to the topics covered. We will also provide you with follow-up resources to support your learning journey.
